Job Description

The Process Improvement Specialist promotes process innovation and ongoing improvement initiatives within the department. Reporting to the Sr. Business Improvement Manager, the Process Improvement Specialist will work closely with department management and the Senior Business Process Improvement Manager to help foster a culture of change by incorporating continuous improvement methodologies that drive business transformation.

Location and Status:This is a full-time hybrid position requiring in-office presence 3 days per week (Tue, Wed, Thu) with the ability to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.The successful candidate must live within a commutable distance to our North Olmsted, OH offices.

RESPONSIBLIITIES:

  • Assist in driving a culture of continuous process improvement and Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Teach, facilitate, and coach process improvement and project management to others
  • Lead projects leveraging continuous improvement and project management tools
  • Support team in the development of organizational process metrics and continuous improvement strategy
  • Develop strong relationships within Finance Business Services and the department
  • Support department management and the Senior Business Process Improvement Manager ofFinance in achieving organizational andculturalefficiency, and effectiveness goals
  • Provideexpertise or identifysubject matter experts in support of continuous improvement initiatives and projects
  • Assist in building cross-functional stakeholder network to accomplish goals
  • Analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing processes and helpdevelop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable process improvements
  • Work independently, effectively, meet deadlines, and collaborate with other team members


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor s degree preferred.
  • 2-5years of demonstrated process improvement experience required. 5+ years of experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a flexible way that allows for changes in assignments and priorities depending upon identified needs of the business unit.
  • Organizational skills sufficient to prioritize work and complete assignments accurately, either independently or as part of a team, under pressure of competing deadlines and with frequent interruptions, working from own initiative and/or following direction, policies, or procedures.
  • Outstanding customer focus includes attributes of empathy, compassion, and service orientation.
  • Savvy with technology which includes use of web-based platforms, case management, etc.
  • Possess a solid understanding of Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable Principles.
  • Possess business and technical understanding of the SAP applications that are used for Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in Shared Services or Global Business Services preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) and end user training.
  • Passionand high energy.
  • Project Management experience.
  • The ability to continually keep an eye out foropportunities to improve existing processes or provide new value to business areas through continuous improvement tools.
  • Excellent process orientation which focuses on efficiency without losing sight of customer experience.
