Our client is a global manufacturer of additives, color concentrates and masterbatch products for a variety of plastics compounding applications including packaging, coatings, adhesives, sealants and building and construction. They require an experienced plastics/chemical manufacturing Process Engineer to manage new processes, capital projects and engineering support while leading one direct report. This is an on-site role, remote work arrangements are not available.

Responsibilities

  • Manage continuous improvement projects in the manufacturing environment.
  • Successfully lead new manufacturing process start-ups.
  • Successfully complete capital expense projects from conception to completion.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets.
  • Lead and own the division's sustainability metric reporting and performance.
  • Train and supervise assigned personnel and recruit new personnel as required.
  • Effective collaborate across other departments such as Operations, Safety, Maintenance, Production and others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or related STEM discipline.
  • At least three years manufacturing experience in plastics compounding.
  • Prior experience with color concentrates, color masterbatch, plastic additives for plastics compounding applications.
  • Team leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, etc.
