Job description: 2 MT ( Manufacturing and Technology) Engineer opportunities at the Memphis, Tennessee manufacturing facility. Memphis, TN, known as the Bluff City and Birthplace of Rock n Rock, is located in the southwest corner of TN along the Mississippi river. Memphis provides its residents fantastic music, arguably the best barbeque, and a relaxed pace of life. The Memphis area also offers great suburban living options with Bartlett, Cordova, Germantown, and Collierville TN and Southaven and Olive Branch MS as commuting options and some of the best school districts in the state. Tennessee sets itself apart from many other states by not imposing a state income tax. These roles provide technical engineering services and will work closely with the Site Manufacturing Technology Leader, Site Engineering, Process R&D, and the Capital Engineering team to support day-to-day operation, process safety management, capital project business justification, design, installation, productivity improvement, and new product scale-up in operation sites. Job requirements. Engineer I:
•  Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, preferably Electrical or Chemical Engineering or Food Science & Engineering.
•  2 - 5years of working experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment. (10+ years preferred). Engineer II:
•  Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, preferably Electrical or Chemical Engineering or Food Science & Engineering.
•  5+ years of working experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment. (10+ years preferred).
•  A preferred candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in Hygienic Design, Process Safety Management, liquid-solid separations, spray drying, packaging, statistical analysis, process design capability, and Six Sigma.
•  Ability to work independently with excellent time management and judgment in prioritization of skills.
•  Interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills to engage teams and align stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
•  Strong knowledge and experience in process safety management.
•  Ability to travel Responsibilities
•  Provide technical service for the Memphis Protein Solutions manufacturing site.
•  Collaborate globally with Manufacturing Technology Engineers within the Protein Solutions and their network.
•  Work closely with the manufacturing technology director and site/region Manufacturing Technology, Process R&D, and Manufacturing teams to establish and implement technical criteria to ensure process stability and process safety.
•  Identify, evaluate, and select unit operations to maximize product performance and production efficiency.
•  Drive continuous improvement at the site level, through KPIs and Benchmarking.
•  Provide process, materials, and/or equipment engineering technical expertise to manufacturing operations to maintain production performance or restore process capability when the product or standard process is no longer safe, stable, predictable, or in control.
•  Participate as part of a team to upgrade products and processes by implementing modifications ranging from incremental daily improvements to technology game changes.
•  Provide technical expertise in one or more technology areas and be a recognized leader in that technology.
•  Respond to technical inquiries: Provide technical information, product recommendations, process, and application troubleshooting.
•  Assist or lead technical basic data development for capital projects.
•  Drive and guide PSM (Process Safety Management) implementation.
•  Scale up new technologies and products via industrial-scale plant trials.
•  Report monthly KPI metrics for ongoing projects.
•  Acts in compliance with all company policies including but not limited to: Quality, Safety, Food/Feed Safety, Environmental, GMPs, and HACCP.
•  Mentor less experienced Engineers.
