Adecco has partnered with a leading global manufacturer to recruit and hire a
Manufacturing Process Engineer for their facility located about 35 minutes east of Lancaster, SC.
Job Summary:- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and resolve production issues.
- Conduct analysis and provide recommendations for equipment upgrades, layout changes, and workflow enhancements.
Responsibilities:- Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and systems.
- Analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure product specifications are met.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate new technologies and equipment to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff on new processes and equipment.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for manufacturing deviations and non-conformances.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure process reliability and safety.
- Participate in project teams for new product introductions and process validations.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or process engineering. 5+ years preferred.
- Project management experience and ability to manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with engineering/manufacturing software and process simulation tools. (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Minitab, ERP/MRP, etc )
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies and tools for continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
- Basic understanding of PLC systems, programming, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems (preferred).
