Process Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Optimizing a 50,000 BPD crude unit, focusing on day-to-day process and project problem-solving.
  • Providing troubleshooting support, technical recommendations, and process procedures development.
  • Carrying out studies to enhance plant safety, reliability, and economics.
  • Conducting test runs, offering engineering support during turnarounds, and collaborating with specialists and engineers of other disciplines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.
  • 2-5 years of relevant Process Engineering experience supporting pulp and paper operations, process design or refinery experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license.
  • Must pass all pre-employment testing including a drug test, physical and background check.
  • Preferred expertise in one or more of the following refinery process technologies: Distillation, Hydro processing/Hydrocracking, Hydrogen Manufacturing, Naphtha Reforming, Sulfur Recovery, FCC, Alkylation, Amine treating or Sour Water processing
Physical Demands
  • Ability to work at elevated heights, including using lifts, ladders, and stairs.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • Work is done outdoors; must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
