Essential Job Functions:
  • This role will need to develop the basic data (flow rates, compositions, intermediate & final product specifications, pressure, temperatures, etc.) and complete the other identified deliverables necessary for the project to proceed into next phase
  • Prepare mark ups of PFDs and P&IDs
  • Perform competitive scoping exercises to determine value and scope of a project
  • This role will need to collaborate with the Project Cost Estimator and Project Engineer/Project Manager to develop initial cost estimate
  • Develop the process engineering scope of work to be performed by the engineering firms for specialized needs.
  • Deliverables include:
    • Basis for Front-End Design
    • Process Flow Diagrams and Heat & Material Balance
    • Line lists
    • Necessary equipment data sheets
    • Preliminary and final safeguarding studies
    • Flare impacts
  • Troubleshoots and facilitates resolution of key investigations related to process design.
  • Will follow the project through commissioning and start-up phase and will provide process/technical support through the life of the project. (i.e. - PHA, MOC, 3D model reviews, sign-off of line lists, participate in MOCs, participate in hazop, review new or modified procedures developed by the project etc.)
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of supporting a (petrochemical or refining) manufacturing site or process design. A broad range of unit experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent process engineering technical skills (e.g. - Process Simulations, Development of a Process Design, etc.).
