Job Description
Accumulus is seeking a highly skilled Principal UX Designer with a proven track record in crafting exceptional user experiences for two-sided applications. This role involves leading a growing Design team and collaborating with Product, Engineering, and internal and external SMEs to design solutions that specialize in real time collaboration, content ingestion and information exchange for global users.
Responsibilities
- Lead Design team by influencing the design culture of the entire organization and making critical decisions that impact multiple initiatives.
- Mentor Design team members and significantly contribute to the professional development of the team as a whole.
- Develop design strategy and lead the effort to design user interfaces for a global two-sided application, ensuring an intuitive and engaging user experience.
- Lead the design process throughout the entire lifecycle while collaborating closely with Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts, Engineers, and other Designers.
- Develop user research strategy and conduct research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
- Present findings of user research to stakeholders on a regular cadence to ensure user feedback is being circulated throughout the organization.
- Translate user feedback into design strategies and product enhancements
- Develop and refine collaboration workflows to enhance user efficiency and satisfaction.
- Design effective task, notification, and messaging systems that keep users informed and engaged.
- Contribute to the development of content management solutions, ensuring seamless user interactions.
- Create and iterate on user personas and user flows based on research findings.
- Map customer journeys to identify opportunities for improvement in the overall user experience.
- Develop and maintain design system to ensure consistency and scalability
- Clearly presents design ideas through organized wireframes, prototypes, and presentations.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience of designing user experiences for web and mobile applications.
- Strong portfolio showcasing successful projects that include collaboration workflows, notifications/messaging, reporting, content management solutions, large-scale information exchange, mobile product usage, and/or solutions that leverage AI
- Proven experience designing solutions for two-sided applications.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey design concepts and rationale.
- Up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX design.
- Highly skilled in user research, usability testing, and validating both low and high-fidelity prototypes using feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven success leading growing design teams
- Preferred qualification: Prior experience in the life sciences industry.
