Our Advance Tech Team works on Government contracts such as Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer Research (STTR) projects on the cutting edge of national security and defense modernization. We are currently seeking a Principal Scientist/Researcher with expertise in AI/ML, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), manufacturing, cyber, digital engineering, Human-Machine Teaming (HMT), or Human Systems Engineering to join our team. Job Description:
As a Principal Scientist/Researcher you will lead a team in research and development efforts with a focus government contracts (such as SBIR/STTR). This role involves designing innovative solutions, conducting experiments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Your work will directly support critical national security and defense missions. Must have experience and skills necessary to
• Develop research plans; analyze and provide solution to research problems.
• Recognize problems in existing theories, conceptualize new theories, mathematically model theoretic principles, design experimental methods/processes/devices, design experiments/tests, realize methods/processes/devices/tests, conduct experiments/tests, and interpret experimental results.
• Lead multiple research teams on independently funded projects to achieve synergy in the overall effort and is primary interface with government personnel.
• Lead research projects specific to SBIR/STTR technologies, from concept to implementation.

• Design and conduct experiments to advance technology and validate outcomes.

• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and other researchers to develop innovative SBIR/STTR solutions.

• Publish research findings in academic journals and present at industry conferences.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior researchers and engineers.

• Work with cross-functional teams to translate research into practical applications for SBIRS/STTR projects. Required Qualifications:

• US Citizen

• Current TS Clearance, must be SCI eligible

• PhD in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline).

• Expertise in one or more of the following areas: AI/ML, MBSE, manufacturing, cyber, digital engineering, HMT, or Human Systems Engineering.

• Proven track record of research and publication in academic journals or conferences.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Experience with SBIR/STTR projects. Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of DoD and intelligence community processes.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with technical writing.
