Position Description:

Performs data and systems processing using Informatica. Combines data from multiple systems into a single database using Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) techniques. Evaluates new and exists systems functions, identifies and analyzes end-user issues, and provides support through standardized processes, tools, workflow analysis, and SQL testing. Navigates between business analytic needs and data to execute on product roadmaps and to enable new insights with data. Analyzes systems requirements to analyze the impact of design decisions on the data strategy and on end consumers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Recommends design changes to complex, interrelated systems designs to meet complicated requirements, improve performance, or reduce costs of ownership.

Designs new systems based on requirements gathered during the requirements analysis phase.

Leads other analysts in the documentation of large and complex projects.

Monitors the quality and progress of documents created by other systems analysts.

Documents formal specifications describing solutions to meet requirements.

Serves as an industry subject matter expert.

Masters data held within transactional, warehouse, and data lakes possessing the ability to communicate findings to the squad leader, data engineers, and business partners.

Analyzes information processing and computation needs and plans and designs computer systems, using structured analysis, data modeling, and information engineering.

Develops, documents, and revises system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.

Consults with management to ensure agreement on system principles.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience performing data analysis to implement process improvements and ETL solutions in a Financial Services environment.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience performing data analysis to implement process improvements and ETL solutions in a Financial Services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") performing complex data analysis to implement data warehouse and ETL solutions in a retirement benefits administration environment.

DE gathering and streamlining Financial Services business requirements to create technical specifications and to create and enhance overall process functionality using Data Dictionaries, STAR Schemas, and logical data modeling.

DE designing and implementing documentation, relational databases, modules and strategy documents to minimize manual interventions to optimize automation in processes using multiple scripting languages SQL, Linux, and Python.

DE ensuring participant-level accuracy by parsing and transforming large client datasets post-load Quality Assurance (QA) validation to internal specification documents using Excel Macros and ATOM or Informatica ETL data pipelines.
