Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will inspect finished products, components, or materials. You will ensure, they meet quality standards and specifications.
Job Description (primary responsibilities)
- Conducting visual inspections of products to identify defects
- Using various tools and equipment to measure and test product quality
- Documenting inspection results and communicating them to appropriate personnel
- Approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products
- Developing comprehensive inspection plans.
- Driving the operation and programming of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), both manual and Direct Computer Control (DCC) using CMM Manager.
- Experience with programming Vision Systems is highly desirable.
- Spearheading correlation studies and Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (Gauge R&R).
- Overseeing general inspection activities.
- Delivering concise and actionable feedback on nonconformities via the Non-Conforming Material Communicate nonconformities using the Non-Conforming Material Reports system.
- Participate in ISO 9001 audits.
Requirements
- Be detail oriented and able to identify and report on any quality non-conformances or defects
- Be able to operate inspection equipment particularly CMMs
- Be able to read and interpret technical specifications and blueprints
- Be willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
