What You'll Do

Samsung Semiconductor Inc. is looking for a talent that has strong background and experience on core design of DRAM technology development. The candidate will be developing the next generation memory technology. The Principal Engineer, DRAM Core Design will be responsible for growing Samsung's memory business, building technology leadership and market opportunities.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose, CA headquarters 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time.

  • Drive memory cell and core design architecture development for next generation DRAM
  • Identify memory cell device and CMOS device requirements for the advanced memory product
  • Collaborate with process integration, modeling group for core design architecture and technology optimization
  • Drive accurate cell operation prediction model development for memory cell architecture and process optimization
  • Develop memory cell and core performance characterization methods including test structures
  • Analyze electrical data from Si and validate new core design architecture performance
  • Engage with cross-function teams such as process integration, quality assurance and product engineers
  • Analyze and optimize power, performance and area from core design architecture
  • Documentation for design specification, performance analysis and test plan etc.
  • Technical interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned

What You Bring

  • BS and 20+ years of DRAM design engineering or MS and 18+ years of experience or PhD and 15+ years of experience preferred.
  • Required knowledge, achievements, and skillsets in memory design.
  • Proficient with design software and statistical analysis tools
