Principal BI Data Analyst

Create reports/dashboards (Oracle OBIEE); gather/analyze user requirements for data analytics; assist BI users leverage available data for analysis/reporting; develop BI projects, apply ETL, use SQL for query database; use OBIEE for data analysis, build tables/views (SQL, SSMS) for OBIEE; develop data visualizations (reports, dashboards, analysis) in OBIEE to distribute data; leverage SQL to query large datasets; perform reverse engineering of backend ERP databases; provide OBIEE functional training to BI users; identify new possibilities of business improvements using data analysis; work with BI Team members/company's teams; work on BI System Improvement Initiatives; manage BI teams helpdesk system; troubleshoot OBIEE system in event of critical failures; create OBIEE training content; create data dictionary for data available in OBIEE; analyze OBIEE system; propose system improvements (data/performance); design system for organization of OBIEE reports/Dashboards; maintain library via new system; gather report requirements; work with departments to understand users reporting needs; develop reports/dashboards; manage BI Teams helpdesk system; troubleshoot OBIEE system in event of critical failures; troubleshoot OBIEE/merchant reports; create OBIEE training content; educate BI users for using BI; create data dictionary for available OBIEE data; analyze OBIEE system; propose system improvements (data/performance); and manage OBIEE security. Position based in Waltham, MA; may work remotely from various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Travel is required. May occasionally travel to employers worksite as needed. Job Requirements: Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Computer Science, or Information Technology Management plus 1 year experience. Experience to include developing BI projects, applying ETL, using SQL for query database; using OBIEE for data analysis, building tables/views (SQL, SSMS) for OBIEE; developing data visualizations (reports, dashboards, analysis) in OBIEE to distribute data; leveraging SQL to query large datasets; and performing reverse engineering of backend ERP databases.
