The Role As a Principal Algorithm & Signal Processing Researcher, you will develop and implement state-of-the-art solutions for signal detection, classification, autonomous sensor decision-making, radar applications, electronic attack, electronic protection, ESM, and more. In this role, you'll lead a team of researchers in creating innovative systems while collaborating closely with our engineering teams to translate your advancements into tangible systems. Your work will directly contribute to the success of our military missions by empowering war fighters with the tools they need to excel in the field. Additionally, you'll have the chance to engage directly with our customers, understanding their evolving needs and incorporating feedback into our development process to address their most critical challenges. What you will Do: Design and apply cutting-edge signal processing and machine learning techniques to solve complex radar and RF sensing and counter-sensing challenges such as signal detection, classification, autonomous sensor decision-making, radar, electronic warfare, waveform design, electronics support measures, and more Lead and inspire small, multi-disciplinary teams, guiding them towards success with your technical expertise and leadership skills Perform EW system test and evaluation Collaborate with diverse teams of talented individuals, bringing together different perspectives to develop and deploy prototype systems that push the boundaries of what's possible Engage directly with customers to understand their unique requirements and national security needs, shaping our solutions to meet their objectives Drive business development initiatives and support proposal writing efforts, playing a key role in shaping the future direction of our projects and organization Who You Are: This position requires an active Secret or TS/SCI security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government PhD, MS, or BS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline 10+ years of system engineering experience on EW or Radar programs, including development of sensor system modes and advanced signal- and data-processing algorithms, from mathematical/analytical derivation through testing, and verification of system performance applying statistical analysis to processed simulated and real sensor data Experience providing technical briefs to subcontractors, senior level executives, and customers Proficiency in in one or more scientific or mathematical programming languages, such as MATLAB, Python, and C/C Experienced researcher and team member who is excited to work with mission partners to leverage cutting-edge technology and research for immediate impact. Excellent communicator and briefer, who is comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong mathematical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills Nice to Have: Demonstrated leadership of complex research, development, and engineering efforts Experience with radar and RF technologies in the defines sector, particularly for RF sensing and electronic warfare applications including electronic attack, electronic protection, cognitive EW, and advanced ESM techniques and algorithms Experience with machine learning tasks such as natural language processing, image recognition, semantic segmentation, reinforcement learning, approaches such as Bayesian, deep convolutional and graph neural network methods, and tools such as PyTorch, Ray, TensorFlow/board, and MLflow Ability to survey literature to determine state-of-the-art, incorporate recent research and apply to current problem sets Ability to apply novel, innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to challenging engineering problems Ability to create and present briefings to Customers and senior management to provide both high-level and deep technical solution explanations Understanding and experience in interacting with decision-makers and customers to translate mission needs into an end-to-end solution Join us and be part of a team that's making an impact at the forefront of technology and innovation.
