About Us: Dependable Staffing Agency is a trusted provider of healthcare professionals dedicated to ensuring high-quality staffing solutions for our clients. We are currently seeking experienced Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) to provide telemedicine services for the Department of Corrections.
Qualification Requirements: Contracted Temporary/Relief Primary Care Physician assigned to the Department of Corrections, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years performing services similar in scope in a public or private institution.
- Specialty Services: Additional experience is required for specialized areas such as emergency medicine, surgery, etc.
- Obstetrics/Gynecology: Additional experience is required for physicians providing services to female institutions/facilities.
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of California with a valid Physician license issued by the Medical Board/Osteopathic Board of California.
- Proficiency in the English language for effective communication with Department of Corrections staff.
- Maintain current certifications, including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and active credentialing status.
Service Delivery Requirements: As a Temporary/Relief Primary Care Physician, you will:
- Provide high-quality telemedicine services within the scope of practice for Primary Care Physician services, following facility policies and procedures.
- Ensure basic computer competency for remote teleconferencing equipment use.
- Adhere to established medical staff by-laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Comply with universal infection control precautions.
Authorization:
- Obtain prior authorization for treatment and transportation/transfers as required by law and department policies.
- Do not perform experimental or investigational treatments without prior authorization.
- Adhere to clinical reviews and formulary guidelines provided by the department.
