COME JOIN OUR TEAM Primary Care Physician - Great BENEFITS Beacon of LIFE's mission is to provide the newest healthcare and social service choices for elders living in Monmouth County and Ocean County. The Beacon of LIFE center was established to deliver PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) services. The PACE model is centered on the belief that it is better for the well-being of seniors with chronic care needs and their families to be served in the community whenever possible. We are currently looking for a Primary Care Physician to join our team. Full-Time positions include a full benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, PTO, 401k. and tuition reimbursement. Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Medical Director, provides primary care and continuous medical coverage services to PACE participants. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, plan, care for, and provide service in accordance with PACE Program standards. Collaborates with any Nurse Practitioners employed by Beacon of LIFE in the provision of assessments, reassessments, care planning and the provision of primary care. Basic Qualifications: Education/Training/Certifications: MD or DO Current State physician license Board Certified - Internal Medicine or Family Practice State CDS Certification and DEA Registration Board Certified - Geriatrics preferred. Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance Skill(s): Thorough knowledge of current concepts, theories and practices related to home and community-based care for the elderly and disabled adults. Working knowledge of health care delivery and financing systems including Medicaid, Medicare, waiver programs, prospective and capitated systems, public health programs and HMO/Managed Care. Thorough knowledge of physical, mental and social needs of frail older adults. Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to lead and work within the interdisciplinary setting. Strong organizational skills. Able to manage changing priorities per needs of PACE Program and the agency. Legible handwriting. Working knowledge of PACE regulations Valuable team member; works well with others. Manages participants comfortably in all settings. Medical Director seeks out and has complete confidence in recommendations. Valuable member of committees. Excellent clinical skills. Provides valuable improvements to participants and PACE Program through the review and analysis of utilization data.
