Overall Goal of the Pricing Lead Position:
The Pricing Analyst (Pricing Lead) will work with data sets of various complexity to help the businesses determine and set competitive prices that drive continued strategic gains in market share and achieve both revenue and margin goals. The Pricing Analyst (Pricing Lead) will also support the marketing and commercial team with pricing insights as they relate to category trends, competitive threats and the outcome of pricing changes. This is a role that requires both analytical and presentation skills, the lead would have a cross functional exposure to multiple levels at the company and will need to both perform the analysis and communicate the findings.

Pricing Lead Job Summary:
The Pricing Analyst (Pricing Lead) primary role will be to assess data from a variety of sources and using it to derive optimal pricing recommendations that align with Sauer Brands' strategies and market trends. The Pricing Analyst (Pricing Lead) will also play an important role in helping Sauer Brands forecast revenues, margins, and market share information. The lead will use a variety of quantitative analysis methods to prepare analyses and reports that show the potential impact of various pricing strategies, including their effect on margins, costs and volumes. The Pricing Analyst (Pricing Lead) will also direct the pricing team, serving as the central point of contact for pricing across all channels, and supervising the pricing team. The Pricing Analyst (Pricing Lead) reports director to the Director of Revenue Operations and helps develop strategic pricing initiatives to allow the business unit to achieve its goals.

The Pricing Analyst (Pricing Lead) will stay up-to-date with market trends within the category and the industry as a whole. By actively monitoring pricing trends, the pricing lead will support the creation of strategies that take advantage of identified opportunities and help the company gain market share and/or increase its profitability.

Key Duties and Responsibilities of the Pricing Lead:

• Preparing and presenting pricing analyses and recommendations to sales, marketing and SBI leadership.

• Supervising and leading all pricing team analysis for the business unit

• Collaborate with the sales, commercial, operational, finance and the marketing teams in establishing pricing recommendations that maximize revenue, margins, share and repeat business.

• Forecast revenue and margins based on various pricing options, taking into account production costs, overheads, profit margins, and sales volumes.

• Utilize syndicated data (IRI, etc.) and other data sources to analyze competitor pricing, promotions and market trends to identify pricing opportunities that can lead to an increase in market share and profitability.

• Driving new product pricing strategy

• Support sales and marketing in developing competitive pricing strategies.

• Keep informed on pricing analysis methods and industry trends.

• Support marketing in performing market, category and brand analysis as needed.

• Education & Experience:

• BS/BA degree in business or a related quantitative discipline preferred

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a quantitative business field (CPG-specific and/or Center-Store Grocery experience preferred)

• High level of computer and Excel literacy
