Press Operators

Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $21.63/HR +.75 shift premium Permanent Position with Benefits 2nd Shift Hours 3:30pm-12:00am Our client, a Manufacturing company located in Avon, Ohio, is seeking a Press Operator to work on their 2 nd shift operations. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED 1-3 years' experience Must be very detailed oriented. Experience with operating a metal stamping press. Familiar/Knowledge with transfer dies. Ability to use gauges, micrometer, and calipers. Must have excellent communication skills (written & verbal) Must have good math skills. Must have a good Mechanical aptitude. Must be a team player and work well under minimal supervision. Must have good trouble-shooting skills. Knowledge/Understanding with SPC. (Statistical Process Control) Must be able to lift 50-60lbs on occasion. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work 2nd Shift Hours 3:30pm-12:00am Key Responsibilities: Tends transfer machine consisting of a series of stations connected by transfer mechanisms that transfer, position, and secure work pieces and Perform machining operations such as drilling, boring, tapping, and milling on metal work pieces such as castings and forging. Lifts work piece manually or with a hoist, and places it on holding device, such as a pallet. Pushes pallet along track into clamping station and starts mechanisms to clamp work piece on pallet and transfer it to workstation. Inspects machined work pieces for surface defects and verifies conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as fixed gages and checking fixtures.
