Position Summary
Under supervision: Operates and assists in setups for power punch press that automatically feeds steel blanks or steel coils.
Essential Job Functions
- Adjusts feeder to synchronize action of feed bar or pinch rollers with feed and takeoff conveyor and automatic action of ram.
- Assists in installing die in press, using gauges and hand tools.
- Position's clamp and feed guides.
- Threads metal strip from payout reel through pinch rollers.
- Cleans around work areas.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- HS grad or equivalent.
- Ability to use basic measuring tools.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Willing to take PMA training.

- Uses clear independent thinking.
- Must have regular attendance.

Physical Demands
- Stand, walk, push, reach overhead and bend to the floor.
- Lifting to 35 pounds.
- Exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally.
- Exert 25 to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
- Exert up to 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Visual Acuity
- Near acuity or accommodations as required for reading gauges and precision measuring instruments.
Hearing Ability
- Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.
Working Conditions
- High noise levels from operating machines.
- Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
- Skin exposure to oils and cutting fluids.
- Exposure to heat during summer months.
The associate is required to follow other instructions and perform other job duties as requested.
Compensation details: 16.5-20 Hourly Wage
