2nd shift 2:30pm to 11:00pm overtime when required
Press Operator Details include:
Metal press operators use automatic or semi-automatic machines or machine tools to shape and form metal products or parts. They will perform quality checks as required and follow all prescribed methods.
Duties:
- Run the machines in a safe manner, with all safeguards applied and will be responsible for maintaining all safe practices such as blocking presses during changeover, and keeping all guarding in place.
- Gauge parts on checking fixtures or tools implemented to ensure quality parts.
- Responsible for keeping the entire work area clean and safe.
- Being able to recognize bad quality on parts such as burrs, surface defects, and splits.
- Communicate with the supervisor when quality issues, downtime, or die issues occur.
Skills/Qualifications: - Documentation Skills
- Safety knowledge in a manufacturing environment and proper use of PPE
- General knowledge of press operation
- Detail- oriented
