Job Summary: The Press Helper is responsible for assisting the Press Operator in printing high quality store valued/pre-paid card products. The Helper is responsible for feeding the presses, flipping loads, and monitoring the quality of the output. 1st shift and Tuesday through Thursday 5pm to 5am positions open.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pull correct material from inventory or work in process area.
  • Verify correct gauge, sheet size and number of sheets have been pulled with lead operator.
  • Make ready press feeder and load stock into the press.
  • Monitor ink fountains and refill with correct color ink as needed.
  • Monitor fountain solution and all fluids associated with the fountain solution system.
  • Assist with set-up, maintenance and operation of the press.
  • Assist with troubleshoot printing related problems and take corrective course of action.
  • Maximize production output through continuous process improvement.
  • Minimize production waste through continuous process improvement.
  • Utilize all available process control functions that the press is equipped with.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Work in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Follow all safety rules related to the press.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required; Technical Training specific to responsibilities preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of print industry experience
  • Basic mathematic skills
  • Knowledgeable in quality control measures and procedures.
  • Demonstrates good judgment and decision making skills, accuracy and quality conscious.
  • Strong communication skills - communicates clearly with others and works as a team.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position and move about on a concrete floor for 100% of shift
  • Ability to push, lift and pull up to 50 lbs. repetitively during shift
  • Ability to move and position self to operate on, under and around machines


Compensation details: 23-23 Hourly Wage
