Job Summary - President, Foundation - CH East The President of the Foundation serves as the chief philanthropy officer for Corewell Health East, sets the overarching strategy and vision for advancing philanthropy and provides strategic leadership to developing and advancing a comprehensive philanthropy program across Southeast Michigan. Reporting to the President of Corewell Health East, he/she provides leadership to the Corewell Health East Foundation and serves as a key member of the Corewell Health East executive leadership team. Serves as the principal gift officer for the East region and fosters relationship with key donors across Southeast Michigan. The President of the Corewell Health Foundation Southeast Michigan will also work collaboratively across the entire health system to ensure we are sharing best practices. The Foundation President's overarching responsibility is to promote philanthropic investment to fulfill and advance the mission of Corewell Health for our East region. This encompasses working with the regional president, Foundation board members, executives, physicians and internal allies (providers, program/administrative leaders, and individual team members) to foster a culture that understands, appreciates, supports and advances gratitude, giving and engagement that goes beyond transactional fundraising to building lasting, deep relationships with donors. Essential Functions - President, Foundation - CH East Provide strategic leadership to develop a multi-faceted, comprehensive approach to advancing philanthropy that aligns with current and emerging best practice. Continually assesses and monitors the capability and capacity of the Foundation to substantially increase philanthropy goals in relation to the priorities and needs of Corewell Health East and the passion, interests and base and depth of relationships with donors. Develops relationships among donors, board members, leaders, clinicians and team members to grow friends and funds in support of Corewell Health's mission, vision, and values. Provides direct staff support and leadership to the Corewell Health East Foundation Board of Trustees and works effectively with its chairperson. Lead and develop a professional team focused on best practices for major gifts and grants, operational and financial management, stewardship, marketing and communications and community engagement, including annual giving tactics. Ensures stewardship and accountability are hallmarks of the Foundation. Assures donor information and databases meet highest standards of integrity. Maintains confidentiality with donor information. Maintains accountability and ensures compliance with all regulations and laws and code of ethics for fundraising professionals. Is personally responsible for a portfolio of major gift donors and oversees an extensive and ongoing major and planned gift program. Partners with the president, board members, executives, physicians and internal allies to support their engagement with philanthropy, including developing a culture of gratitude. Assists same groups in setting priorities for fundraising among various needs at Corewell Health East. Develops, implements, and evaluates immediate and long-range plans for philanthropy in support of the mission and vision of Corewell Health East. Develops annual comprehensive plan and budget with success indicators for the Foundation Board's review and adoption. Uses metrics and benchmarking to ensure accountability and program refinement. Qualifications - President, Foundation - CH East Required Bachelor's Degree. Preferred Master's Degree In philanthropy, non-profit or public administration, health administration, business administration, marketing/communication. 10 years of relevant experience Preferably in a healthcare organization with progressive leadership roles. Required CRT-Fund Raising Executive, Certified (CFRE) - within 1 Year of hire required.
