KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop comprehensive preservation plans in collaboration with project team and engineering disciplines to meet project requirements and industry standards.
  • Define preservation requirements for equipment, materials, and systems based on project specifications, operational needs, and environmental conditions.
  • Establish preservation procedures, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards for the project.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and construction teams to identify, track, and manage preservation activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with preservation requirements and identify potential risks or issues.
  • Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to address preservation deficiencies, mitigate risks, and optimize asset reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project team, subcontractors, and vendors on preservation techniques, materials, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with vendors and regulatory authorities to address preservation-related concerns, inquiries, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor preservation performance metrics, analyze trends, and prepare reports to evaluate effectiveness and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in preservation management, asset management, or related field within the energy, resources, or process industries.
  • Strong understanding of preservation principles, techniques, and methodologies, including coating, packaging, and storage requirements.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven track record of managing preservation activities on complex projects within budget and schedule constraints.

Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to asset preservation, such as API RP 686 and ISO 12944
