Preschool Intervention Specialist

Early Childhood Intervention Specialist Madeira Preschool has a full time preschool intervention specialist opening for the school year. Interested candidates should possess the following criteria: Must hold a current early childhood intervention license that includes preschool Evidence of classroom management strategies that are appropriate for ages 3-5 Evidence of positive verbal and written communication/collaboration skills with students, parents, and school staff Evidence of an Early Learning standards-based approach to instructional planning and delivery of instruction Experience with preschool children and knowledge of child development Evidence of differentiated instruction A commitment to growing professionally Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity A desire to be a cooperative and positive member of a team of related service providers, aides, and general educators. Candidates will be responsible for case management for up to 16 children ages 3-5. The candidate will be a part of the identification process with children transitioning from Early Intervention or community referrals. They will be responsible for implementing specially designed instruction and IEP accommodations/modifications in the early childhood classrooms. They will write progress reports, organize and lead parent-teacher conferences with related service providers and the general education teacher and schedule and lead IEP meetings.
