Our ideal candidate has the following: A strong commitment to building positive relationships with staff, families, and the community. Expert knowledge of Illinois DCFS LICENSING STANDARDS FOR DAY CARE CENTERS. An Associate/Bachelor/Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Three+ years of child development/ECE teaching experience per IDCFS standards. Three+ years of experience as an ECE Director per IDCFS standards. Let's talk about building a brighter future together. The requirement from Illinois DCFS: All new childcare directors hired on or after July 1, 2017, shall have a minimum of an associate degree in child development or early childhood education or the equivalent (defined as 64 semester hours in any discipline with a minimum of 21 semester hours of college credit in child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education) and either a Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential (see 89 Ill. Adm. Code 50.720(b) and ) or three semester hours of college credit or 3 points of credential approved training in administration, leadership or management. Additionally, Food Manager Credentials are required. Compensation: $60,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
