The Growing Tree Preschool is a contracted preschool provider for the North Plainfield School Distrcit and is actively seeking a qualified preschool director. The director will oversee administration of daily activities and operations of this robust private provider preschool program. The candidate will be experienced in the field of early childhood development and school lead management. The preschool director's responsibilities include staff recruitment, property maintenance, marketing and communication, financial management, and interaction with key role players. The director will also be responsible for maintaining programming aligned with NJDOE Preschool Program Implementation Guidelines and contract with the North Plainfield School District. The position is year-round. The school operates five days a week, from 7 a.m.to 6 p.m. The director is at least expected to cover all preschool hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m Resume to: The successful director should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as a love for children and families. They should uphold the vision of the school with pride and ensure that the preschool meets relevant NJ State standards. Ultimately, a top-notch Director will determine the overall needs of the preschool, protect the health and safety of children, and work closely with the school staff and the North Plainfield School District preschool team. Preschool Director Responsibilities Include: Oversee the daily operation of the preschool . Manage staff consisting of classroom teachers, assistants and office staff. Work in collaboration with the North Plainfield School District preschool team in program implementation. Conform to the State and contract requirements outlined in the NJ DOE Preschool Implementation Guidelines. Ensure that the property is well-maintained. Manage financial transactions and prepare budgets. Manage staff training in accordance with licensing and school district requirements. Supervise, manage and support classroom teachers and assistants Cultivate positive family relationship and build strong partnerships Ensure enforcement of policies and procedures along with appropriate discipline. Conduct and evaluate classroom observations, analyze data to improve instructional practices and communicate with all staff Plan special activities, back to school nights, graduation and holiday programs. Oversee a summer program of theme activities and field trips that runs July through August. Preschool Director Requirements: NJ Standard Certificate P-3 3-5 years' classroom experience.
