Job DetailsJob Details:
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and strategic Pre-Litigation Head Attorney to lead our pre-litigation department. This position offers a unique opportunity for someone who has litigated before, but no longer wants to. This role would be focused on settling cases before they reach litigation.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all pre-litigation activities in the firm, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to all legal standards and protocols.
- Lead and mentor a team of pre-litigation attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Act as the primary negotiator on complex and high-profile cases, utilizing strategic thinking and expert negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes for our clients.
- Develop and implement pre-litigation strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Liaise with other department heads, attorneys, and senior management to ensure alignment of pre-litigation strategies with overall firm goals.
- Stay abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends relevant to pre-litigation, providing guidance and updates to the team as necessary.
- Represent the firm in professional and industry forums, enhancing the firm's reputation and networking with potential clients and partners.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in pre-litigation with a proven track record of successful negotiation.
- Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the Connecticut state bar.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of legal professionals.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to resolve complex legal issues in a favorable manner for clients.
- Comprehensive knowledge of pre-litigation processes, laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization and with clients.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
