Pre-Inspection Specialist

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Position requires previous experience and certifications in ASE, PM-15/30, A/C, PM Brake and
Road Test.
1. Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle.
2. Must be skilled at performing major-component diagnostics and drivability inspections on U-Haul equipment.
3. Must possess an extensive knowledge of engines (gas and diesel) and transmissions (standard and
automatic).
4. Must be an expert repair technician with extensive knowledge of parts, part terminology, labor operations, and
technical publications, and the ability to identify equipment in need of campaigns, updates, and warranty work.
5. Must keep informed in the area of new truck-product drive trains and computer functions.
6. Must perform all pre-inspections Safety Certifications using the Safety Circle Certification Checklist.
7. Must perform diagnostic functions on all trucks routed to the pre-inspector using available computer systems.
8. Must be able to gather and interpret scan data from on-board computer systems.
