Pre-Doctoral Fellow Research

Pre-Doctoral Fellow GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT: Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and/or Senior Research Fellow, the Pre-Doctoral Fellow will work in the laboratory or office space dedicated to the principal investigator and will receive the training necessary to complete a Ph.D. dissertation and preparation, professional development, and mentorship for a Postdoctoral position. The individual may be eligible for an HMS Medical School appointment as a Visiting Research Fellow. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In collaboration with the PI or Senior Fellow, develops, and executes research methodologies within the parameters of experimental protocols and research objectives and analyzes results. Contributes to the publication or preparation of scientific literature, reports, journals, and presentations. Investigates, creates, and develops new methods and technologies for research advancement. WORKING CONDITIONS: Describe the conditions in which the work is performed. Laboratory or office setting. Must be currently matriculated in a Ph.D./M.D. the program SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Strong research design and analytical skills. Strong database statistical skills. In-depth knowledge of the field of research. Excellent time management/organizational skills. Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
