Powdered Metal Lab Tech

Spherion is currently hiring for a Powdered Metal Laboratory Technician in Watsontown, PA.

Train on days M-F 6a-2p, once training is complete moves to 3rd shift, Sun-Wed 8p-6a.

MUST have previous lab experience.
Perform physical and chemical testing on all finished product, analyze and compare results to specification. Operate and monitor all equipment necessary to assess the product quality.
Perform green property, bulk property and sintered property testing for appropriate products.
Perform total carbon sintered carbon and sulfur testing as required.
Perform warm and hot press testing.
Assist operations with in-process and special testing.
Calculate testing results and compare to specifications.
Press and forge slugs for metallographic analysis.
Identify, write requisition and package for shipment samples which require outside testing.
Maintain powder standards and lot samples.
Operate all equipment necessary to perform the required tests.
