The school's commitment to excellence in research drives our commitment to seek out and train the best of the next generation of communication networks scientists/engineers. We are interested in recruiting a candidate with a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field to conduct research in the broad areas of Internet of Things, AI/ML-driven Networks, or Networks of Autonomous Devices. The Postdoctoral Scholar will work on independent and collaborative projects in the mentioned fields. The qualified applicant will be required to conduct research, prepare manuscripts, and aid in the preparation of grant applications. Training and experience in the design and performance evaluation of network protocols and communications systems, as well as in ML/AI-based algorithms and tools is preferred. The applicant should have a good command of the English language, good interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, critical thinking ability and evidence of experience, and good writing skills through publications in peer-reviewed journals and prestigious conferences as a first/corresponding author. The applicant should also be proficient in computer programming and other software usage, such as C/C , Python, ns-3 simulator (or similar), MATLAB (or similar). Working knowledge on Kernel-based Linux programming is a plus. The position is subject to the availability of funds. Required Qualifications + Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field. + Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with teams + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Experience in leading the preparation of scientific publications. Preferred Qualifications + Experience in design, analytical modeling, optimization, simulation, prototyping, and performance evaluation of network protocols and communications systems. + Experience with Machine Learning algorithms and tools; + Experience in preparing scientific project proposals in the relevant field. + Experience in programming languages such as C/C , Python; ns-3 simulator (or similar), MATLAB (or similar). Linux-based kernel programming is a plus.
