Job Description 75% - Research: Engaging in research, writing proposals for external funding, presenting at professional conferences, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and preparing reports. 25% - Administration: Organizing conferences and meetings, mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, compiling NCCS's publications, managing construction safety certificate program, maintaining website, and managing NCCS's files and documents. Required Qualifications Ph.D. in an engineering or science field, including (but not limited to) mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, industrial engineering, civil engineering, and construction engineering. Prior experience with writing proposals for external funding. Evidence of ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals. Evidence of ability to develop research products, including hardware, software, method, or process. Prior experience with organizing activities. NOTE: To be appointed at the Postdoctoral Researcher title, it is necessary to have the PhD conferred at the time of hire. Appointments made without a diploma or certified transcript indicating an earned doctorate are conditional hires and are appointed on an interim basis not to exceed 6-months. Upon verification of degree the appointment will be extended to its full duration. Preferred Qualifications Academic award winners. Patent inventors.
