Department: Chemistry and Physics Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to perform more than one of the following research tasks: Be familiar with CVD and other available methods to grow novel nanomaterials, focusing on 2D materials. Employ standard techniques for their transfer and characterization such as XRD, SEM, TEM, AFM, Raman, PL, FTIR, etc. Mentoring and supervising graduate and undergraduate students. Writing technical grant reports, publishing papers, and assisting in gathering information for proposal writing and progress reporting. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree in Physics, Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline. Experience with the synthesis and characterization of 2D materials, other nanomaterials, or thin films. Experience in experimental data acquisition and processing for materials' assessment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in 2D materials synthesis, characterization, and transfer techniques Experience in CVD and other related synthesis techniques. Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Publication record Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary research environment, prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs.
