Position Details Req ID: req16997 Position Title: Post Doctoral Fellow Position Type: Faculty Position Number: AF7971 OSU Campus: Stillwater Department: Mechanical & Aero-Space Engr Location Address: 300 Engineering South Stillwater, Oklahoma, 74078 United States Hiring Supervisor: Dr. Imraan Faruque Commensurate with education and experience Work Schedule: Various Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in Dr. Imraan Faruque's research team working in the Autonomous Physics Group in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at Oklahoma State University. The candidate is expected to support orbital debris mitigation through both theoretical analysis and applied design development, and to lead design of perception of non-cooperative objects, with applications to orbital debris perception, tracking, and mitigation algorithms, and to conduct spacecraft integration. Secondary responsibilities include supporting relative navigation experiments on other aerospace vehicles. Additional responsibilities include project management, proposal writing, and training/supervising graduate and undergraduate students. Education & Experience Position Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Ph.D. / Ed.D. in Aerospace, mechanical, or related engineering discipline Experience with onboard sensor fusion and perception.
