Our company, a leading player in the hospitality industry is seeking Portfolio Controller (Hybrid) to join our finance team. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's financial growth and stability. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial management, including financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and inventory management. Additionally, you will assist with year-end audits and provide strategic financial insights to help guide our company's financial decisions.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
As a Portfolio Controller, you will be tasked with the following:
  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Regularly produce financial reports and statements.
  • Coordinate all audit activities.
  • Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
  • Manage our company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Portfolio Controller position must have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
