Responsibilities: Reporting to an Underground Maintenance Supervisor, the Underground Construction Technician is responsible for the following; Safely operate equipment Work in an Underground production zone Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Ability to identify wrench and socket sizes use drills impacts and grinders Required Ability to troubleshoot and replace all pumps and lines Required Basic fabrication skills including welding and cutting, brazing, arc welding, and air arc Preferred Ability to identify parts needed for repairs by make, model, size, and type required Ability to figure concrete yardage, set forms and finish concrete Required Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and the ability to apply those skills to troubleshoot and repair systems Preferred Identify basic rigging tools (slings, shackles, softeners) Required Basic knowledge of hoist and shaft maintenance for an underground mine Preferred Ability to read and use precision measuring tools, torque wrenches, and hand tools Preferred Basic operation of forklift, skidsteer, loader, scissor deck and batch truck Preferred Knowledge and ability to install hardline and vent bag and ability to install and remove auxiliary fans Preferred Excellent safety and attendance record Required Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job Required
