We have an outstanding Contract position for a PMO Project Coordinator to join a leading Company located in the Whittier, CA surrounding area.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the compliance and implementation of the PMO's standards, guidelines, processes, and Project Management methodology during project deploymentsResponsible for the elaboration of the project schedule, along with the Project Manager and the project management teamProvide proper control of the plan and its performance metrics to assure implementation within scope, schedule, budget, and expected customer satisfaction and ensure that any deviation from the original plan is communicated to the Project Manager and to the management teamResponsible for the project status report in relation to project progress, milestones completion, areas support and issues, project risk, project changes, operational and financial metrics, and projections at the completionTo develop, along with the project manager and the project management team, the initial project plan, scope definition, and project deliverables by areaTo develop a detailed and complete project schedule, including activities listing, sequence, and dependencies to monitor and control the project timeline, activities completion, and critical pathTo manage the implementation of the Project Site/Platform (through Project Server) for project activation, and documents administration and control, to update in an accurate and timely fashion the projects' information and knowledge baseTo implement the Project Management Methodology, tools, forms, guidelines, and standards established by the PMO along the project's life cycle and to assess and measure its implementationTo monitor, update, and control the project schedule, activities execution vs
baseline, to assure the project milestones and timelines are met To monitor and control the project scope, milestones execution, and quality, to assure that the project plan is implemented as designed and as agreed with the customerTo provide project quality control and area support monitoring through the administration and management of the project's issues, individual productivity indicators, and implementation of the internal surveyTo support the project status meetings with the team to follow up the project execution, activities completion, risks, issues, and changes, providing the agenda and the meeting's minutes for effective project coordination and controlTo implement, as part of the Project Management Methodology: risks management and issues management, by means of risk log, issue log, risk assessment, risk mitigation plans, and monitoring of the status of the issues and their resolution
Basic Hiring Criteria: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer or I/T Sciences or related areaMinimum 5 years of professional experienceMinimum 4 years of Project Coordinator, PMO Analyst, or Project Processes Analyst experience or in a job with similar responsibilitiesPMI, PMP, or similar recognized CertificationProvide project examples that clearly demonstrate seven (7) or more years in managing and working with multidisciplinary teams and developing esprit de corps within the project team
