Title: Plumber / Steamfitter State Role Title: 79033 Hiring Range: $31,886.00 Commensurate with Experience Pay Band: 3 Agency: Dept Behavioral Health/Develop Location: Central State Hospital Agency Website: Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties Sign On Bonus 3,500 The Plumber/Steamfitter will ensure journeyman level plumbing/ pipefitting and Zone Mechanic work is performed as assigned with responsibility for determining the appropriate work methods. They will also perform assignments and work orders independently therefore responsible for planning the assigned work, following sketches, diagrams and blueprints. Minimum Qualifications The experience we're looking to add to our team: The incumbent must posses full range of knowledge and skills in the area of Plumbing/Steamfitter. Must be skilled in the use of trade tools. Ability to read and write. Ability to read blueprints and specifications. The ability to analyze defects and malfunctions to determine the scope of the problem. Ability to perform small repairs in the areas of carpentry, electrical, HVAC and painting. Requires basic computer skills. Must have a valid Virginia Driver's License. Must also have some trade school or field experience. Additional Considerations We're excited if you also have: Completion of Plumbing/Steamfitter course from a technical school and a journeyman's card.
