We are seeking a(n) Plumber II for Dollywood Resorts who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand. The right Plumber II checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator. The Plumber II is responsible to install, modify, trouble shoot, repair plumbing and mechanical systems to support all Dollywood Company properties to comply with Southern Building Code, OSHA Safety Regulations and applicable industry standards as well as with Company policies and procedures. All of this will be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company. Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities Install new plumbing systems or repair and maintain existing systems, such as water, steam, heat, water, gas, drainage, sewage, filtration systems and service lines and other plumbing systems. Determine water supply networks and waste drainage systems. Obtains proper permits as required by law to carry out plumbing work on construction or remodeling projects. Coordinate with project manager on installation. Ensure systems meet all standards of building codes and safety. Install underground storm, sanitary and water piping systems and extend piping to connect fixtures and plumbing to these systems. Review blueprints and building codes and specifications to determine work details and procedures. Support and troubleshoot equipment issues Installs and maintains air conditioning equipment, steam, and hot water heating systems, and sprinkler systems; renews pipes, valves, and fittings on pumps. Repairs and inserts valves and ball cocks; packs faucets; repairs waste, sewage, and drainage pipes; replaces broken fixtures and installs new fixtures; caulks and packs joints. Install other plumbing equipment, such as sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, air conditioners, appliances, and trim. Cleans out drains and obstructions in waste and sewage pipes. Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and grade. Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative maintenance work as required. Coordinate work functions with co-workers and other organizational departments. May assist in training lower-level apprentice plumbers and others. Document repairs or work order request forms and initiate material forms. Researches, purchases and inventories equipment parts, chemicals and supplies. Maintain records of work completed and parts used. Must work independently as well as in a team setting. Perform duties in a safe manner in compliance with manufacturer's specifications, Company policies & procedures, applicable regulations, and industry standards. Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time. Educational and Experience Requirements Four (4) years of progressively responsible journey level plumbing experience; OR, completion of a four-year federally approved technical training program in plumbing repair and maintenance and two (2) years plumbing experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. High School diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years old. Valid driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance for use of Company vehicles. Basic computer skills. Must pass post-employment offer drug screen and background check; if already employed by Dollywood, must be in good standing with current team. Able to endure temperatures of0 to 120 degrees. Able to work outdoors. Able to lift 100 pounds. Able to operate/drive a motor vehicle. Able to read, write, and demonstrate math skills necessary to: calculate basic angles, degree of rise or fall, size parts, calibrate equipment, and accomplish equipment or materials take offs from schematics or blueprints. Able to balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch, and work in confines spaces. Able to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (up to 50 pounds) and occasionally heavier weight (up to 100 pounds). Able to work at heights up to and in excess of 150ft. Able to endure approved exposure levels to various chemicals found in cleaning solvents, adhesives, paints, and lubricants Able to use hand tools, power tools and equipment such as air compressor, skill saw, electric drill, impact wrench, hand wrenches, shovel, etc. Able to operate reamers, threading discs, sewer tapes, pipe cutters, snakes, and other plumbing equipment and hand tools. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
