Job Description:

As a PLC / Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on equipment used in the production process. Working directly with Engineering, you will supervise and enhance processes for output and waste levels. This role requires leadership and ownership of process performance issues, reporting directly to Production Maintenance (Engineering) and indirectly to Production.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain all electrical systems used on production equipment.

Perform preventive maintenance on designated production equipment as specified in the PM Program or as needed.

Assist Engineering with the installation, debugging, and start-up of all equipment, including maintaining and adjusting vision systems within defined parameters.

Keep equipment logs for assigned equipment, recording downtime and maintenance problems. Document all process changes using approved control change procedures.

(Sharps Departments Only) Mix silicone/solvent-based formulation used for needle lubrication, ensuring solids percentage remains within acceptable parameters using a viscometer.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental procedures, and Quality System Requirements (QSR).

Provide Production Supervisors with relevant information on equipment and process performance, including production and waste data.

Lead problem-solving efforts related to production equipment.

Coordinate and support other maintenance activities as required.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma / GED

Associate Degree (Mechatronics or similar subject area) preferred

Ability to work 8pm-8am on a 3, 2, 2, 3 schedule

Extensive knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs and electrical-mechanical maintenance.

Experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs

Proficiency in reading and interpreting ladder logic

Electrical-mechanical troubleshooting skills

Experience in a high-speed automated manufacturing environment preferred
