We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to join our team in the food production sector of the Engineering industry. This is a permanent position that offers the unique opportunity to manage the entire operations of a food manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. They will develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all levels of staff activity and performance, ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of food

production, processing, and packaging.
  • Develop and implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction

and focus.
  • Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives, including GMP, HACCP,

SQF, and PCQI standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance the productivity and profitability of the plant, utilizing Lean

Manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Product Development teams to innovate and improve products and processes.
  • Manage plant maintenance programs and schedules to maximize plant uptime and meet safety objectives.
  • Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime and commit to plant safety procedures.
  • Address employees' issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements.
  • Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the food production industry.
  • Proven experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
  • Solid understanding of production processes, quality assurance, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource

allocation, and human resources).
  • Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives and strong team leadership skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for food production.
