Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dynamic Plant Controller to lead finance and accounting operations at our client's South Boston, VA facility. Reporting directly to the CFO of the Business Unit, this role offers extensive exposure to leadership and the opportunity to make a significant impact on financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee month-end close and financial reporting processes for the facility.
  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as a finance business partner to various stakeholders in leadership, offering insights and guidance to drive performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness through process improvements and rigorous analysis.
  • Cost Accounting: Support cost accounting activities across product lines to optimize profitability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead weekly and monthly reviews of manufacturing financials with the Operational Leadership Team to drive informed decision-making.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • 4-7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with strong costing and inventory expertise in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is advantageous.
