Lead the daily activities of a pile driving crew safely and consistent with the project goals and the expected standards established by Cianbro and our customers. Job Responsibilities Work together with project supervision on a daily basis to communicate production goals and quality specifications of work, discuss issues that have surfaced (around people, means and methods, material or equipment use, etc. extra or out-of-scope work), and ideas to help the team achieve project goals. Participate in planning means and methods. Accurately record and report crew work hours and quantities installed. Monitor and manage crew productivity. Ensure ongoing efforts are made to improve productivity. Lead the driving and extraction of various steel, concrete, and timber pilings for retaining walls, bulkheads, foundations of bridges and/or piers with both vibratory and impact hammers. Proficiency in heavy land based and marine rigging and crane signaling. Understanding basics of measurement related to plumbness or batter of pile versus design. Understanding of oxy-acetylene torch cutting. Knowledge and operation of vibratory and impact pile hammers. Comfortable in marine environment working aboard barges, boat, and at heights. Proficiency in boat operation is a plus. Qualifications/Requirements Extensive knowledge of heavy civil construction projects. 5 plus years of supervisory experience in a heavy civil environment with experience in pile driving.
