Pile Driver

Perform tasks involving physical labor at heavy construction projects on a barge. Responsible for multiple types of activities required to perform the driving of different types of piles using various equipment in accordance with design drawings, specifications, and instructions. Responsibilities: Assembling pile driving leads, connecting hoses, rigging material and equipment. Shakeout of items to be installed into erectable sequence and rigging of same for crane hoisting with a thorough knowledge and use of crane signals. Loads, transports and unloads material, tools, equipment and supplies. Assist other craft workers as needed. Have the knowledge to determine size, length and quantities of materials needed for the work. Perform work in compliance with contract plans and specifications. Qualifications: Experience with concrete and steel pipes, setting up template, and welding. Must be willing and able to work outside all day long, 8 - 10 hours. Must be able to work some weekends. Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance. Must be willing to perform strenuous, consistent, physical activity throughout the day.
