Job Description Job Description Description:The Pickleball Club, headquartered in Sarasota, FL is a developer of premier membership based one of a kind indoor pickleball clubs in the state of Florida. The Company is well underway with its plans to develop 15 facilities across the state of Florida with its strategy to take advantage of the significant unmet demand for quality indoor sports facilities across Florida. Our first state-of-the-art facility is now open and operating in Lakewood Ranch. We are preparing to open our second TPC location in St Lucie West and we are seeking a Pickleball Instructor to join our team.TPC is a new exclusive private club experience for pickleball enthusiasts of all levels. TPC prides itself on providing world-class facilities and service to our members and their guests. TPC is a full-service club with 12 indoor pickleball courts, 2 outdoor covered courts, and 2 bocce courts. We offer a suite of member benefits including member concierge services, engaging member events and in-house instructional professionals. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the United States and TPC is the leader in the market. We are currently seeking an instructor to add to our Programming staff.Position SummaryThe Pickleball Instructor teaches, and assists the Program Manager in all Pickleball programmed activities and personal lessons.Job TypePart TimeSalary Guide$20/hour non-instruction time and $35-50/hour court instruction time - up to 30 hours a week.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for a minimum of 10 hours for TPC Programmed Instruction (Beginner Clinics, Drill Clinics, PCU, PCA, etc.) on the court at a rate of $35-$50/hr. These hours will be scheduled by the Program ManagerResponsible for scheduled hours for coordination (non-court) assignments, to include: organizing and implementing Ladders/Leagues, helping with tournaments, socials, events, court monitoring, at a rate of $20/hour.Above and beyond the expected programmed instruction and coordination hours, employee may teach private, semi-private, and group lessons (up to 4 people) for beginners and intermediate players at court instruction rate.Requirements:Qualifications, Education and Experience:Must be Certified Pickleball Instructor (IPTPA or PPA preferred) and maintain certification.Thorough knowledge of the mechanics, rules, and strategy of the game.Strong leadership, coaching skills, and ability to teach in a way that motivates students.Excellent technology skills and proficiencyCreate fun, engaging, and dynamic pickleball lessons for private, semi-private, and small groups at a ratio of no more than 1:8.Must be able to coach a variety of skill levels and age groups with an outgoing, positive, engaging, and professional attitude.Learn and use the Court Reserve court management systemHave an understanding and utilize PlaySight in lessons for immediate feedback with students.Must attend quarterly instructor trainings and adhere to all TPC policies and procedures.Will receive in-house continued education and training on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.Employees are required to be CPR/AED Certified (having completed in person training) or must complete in person training and obtain certification at their own cost within 30 days of employment.Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug test.Available to work shifts during the days, nights, weekends, and holidays.Reporting:The Pickleball Instructor will report to the Program ManagerPhysical Requirements:The ability to lift 30 pounds regularly, squat and bend over regularly, carry out repetitive motions regularly, lift and carry awkward items, and stand for length of shift.Must be able to stand and actively instruct for prolonged periods of time.Moderate to high noise level in the work environment.Must have a valid form of ID.We are a Drug Free Workplace.
