General Surgery Locums Job in Park Rapids, Minnesota 24 Hour Call Only 7-10 Shifts/Month Assignment
Schedule needed: 7-10 days/month
Details/Requirements:
Board Certified in General Surgery with Bariatric experience
Minnesota license required or IMLC (LOQ in hand)
BLS
Malpractice clean preferred
Availability at time of name clear required
Required procedures: basic laparoscopic procedures, including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, bile duct appendectomy, closure of intestinal perforations, biopsy and hernia repair.
Setting: Hospital (Critical Access Hospital); Bariatric Center of Excellence
Duties: take call; cover inpatients for general surgery
FTE: PRN 2-4 days per month of call coverage
EMR: Meditech
Average worked callback hours: 4 hours
Admissions per day: 0-2
How many patients seen per 24-hours: 0-1
How many admissions per 24-hrs: 0-1
% of hands on: 10-20%
On call GS responsible for rounding on assigned/unassigned/both patients
Average daily census in Med Surg for rounding: 2-4
Average surgeries per shifts: 0-2
No supervision
Annual ER Volume: 10,000
