Adult Outpatient Psychiatrist Locum Tenens Job in the California Bay Area Hybrid Coverage is an Option
Homeless health care program is in need of a full-time locum tenens Psychiatrist. In person or hybrid preferred. Start as soon as credentialing is completed. Assignment is six months. Will work at more than one site.
Looking for a Psychiatrist who is passionate about caring for individuals who are unhoused/marginally housed, criminal justice involved, or previously unhoused now living in permanent supportive housing.
Psychiatric providers work across various access points to include:
Three brick and mortar clinics (including a shelter based clinic)
Re-entry clinic for individuals recently released from the criminal justice system
Mobile medical unit that brings services across the length of their service area
Medical respite program, which provides recuperative care and temporary housing for unhoused individuals too sick to be on the street and too well to be in the hospital.

Home visits at our permanent supportive housing sites
In addition to diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders, psychiatric providers are expected to collaborate closely with other disciplines, including primary care, social work, and psychology for coordination of care for a psychosocially complex patient population. They also coordinate care with other service partners including community based organizations, shelter services, and case management services. Psychiatry trained addiction medicine fellows rotate through this program.
Details/Requirements: Hours: 9A-5P, Monday through Friday
No call.
One hour for initial evaluations and 30 minutes for medication follow ups.
Client has an electronic health record, so candidates must be computer savvy.
Can take up to 60-90 days for credentialing.
