Adelphi is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide person-centered psychiatric services in a long-term care facility in Ohio. The ideal candidates will be responsible for providing advice and consultation on psychiatric matters and conducting individual and group counseling and psychotherapy.

Requirements:

•  Ohio Licensure
•  Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
•  Minimum of 5 years of medical practice in psychiatry
•  Medicare and Medicare Advantage Plans participants and other major third-party payers (e.g., UnitedHealthcare,Medical Mutual, Aetna)
•  Minimum of three (3) references in behavioral health services
Responsibilities:

•  Provide person-centered psychiatric services to nursing home residents, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
•  Offer psychiatric advice, conduct evaluations, and develop treatment plans
•  Evaluate recommendations from the interdisciplinary team
•  Assist in program development and conduct psychiatric research
•  Conduct individual and group counseling, addressing various mental health issues
•  Conduct psychiatric evaluations and review relevant records and maintain documentation
•  Assess suicide risk, participate in hearings, and provide coping strategies
•  Diffuse and de-escalate issues, role modeling positive behaviors
•  Recommend policies and procedures for resident assessment and treatment
•  Evaluate residents' mental status and competence
•  Prepare statistical reports summarizing progress and interventions
•  Consult and collaborate with mental health professionals and stakeholders, serving as an advisor on psychiatric matters
•  Supervise and attend to other psychiatric professionals
•  Collaborate with the facility's administrators and medical team
•  Participate in staff development and in-service training programs
•  Conduct educational classes/in-services on behavioral issues
•  Follow safety procedures and provide training to facility staff, tailor curriculum to meet needs, and ensure comprehensive coverage
