A strong organization focused on ophthalmology care is seeking a Nurse Manager for their recently-acquired ambulatory surgery center in central Suffolk County, Long Island
Job Function:
- Oversee a staff of approximately 15 people, including scrub techs, central sterile techs and Femto laser technicians and 2-3 other RNs
- Step in with patient care as needed
- Responsible for the flow of the operating room including coordination of infection control activities
- Create weekly staff schedule and monitor daily staff assignments
- Monitor cost of products, records of purchase orders and product literature
- Knowledge of decontamination, preparation, wrapping, sterilization process and use of the autoclave
- Monday-Friday schedule expected to be 7am-4pm
