Augusta, Maine: We invite a sharp Ophthalmologist to join an established comprehensive ophthalmology practice in Maine's dynamic capital city, just one hour from Portland. This private practice is affiliated with Maines third largest healthcare system Maines newest hospital a 192-bed regional medical center.You will be employed by this busy practice, and enjoy working in a comfortable, state-of-the-art environment. Join a pair of experienced Ophthalmologists and three Optometrists serving nearly over 60,000 area residents around the scenic Kennebec Valley. A partnership opportunity is potentially available.This general practice provides treatment for cataracts, diabetes, retinal occlusions, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and more. If you have an area of subspecialty interest, you will be supported in developing that practice.You will find all the tools you need on-site for patient evaluation, diagnosis and treatment, including argon and YAG lasers, Octopus visual field, Cirrus HD-OCT, LenStar, B- and A-scans, digital photography, and a Tear Lab. The office houses 13 lanes, an optical dispensary, and a minor surgery suite. The most complex surgeries take place in the nearby hospital.
