Our Medical Center and an Employed Hematology/Oncology Group is currently seeking a BE/BC, Full Time Hem/Onc Physician to join their established, stable CoC accredited group. Candidate will join a wonderful medical community with supportive administration. Radiation Oncology available at the medical center with TruBeam, SBRT, and HDR capabilities. The practice is participating with the CMS Oncology Care Model. There is an active navigation program and partnerships with non-profits such as Susan G. Komen, American Cancer Society, and Cancer Outreach (a local foundation). A robust local medical community supports this service and many of the providers are aligned with our health system. Opportunities to work with medical students as part of the health system s education program.

Support:

Physician will join 2 additional Oncologists and APPs. The APPs manage infusion services and see acute & symptomatic patients working under the direct supervision of the physician group. There is a large, diverse support staff of APPs, RNs, LPNs, dietary, navigators, schedulers, pre-cert, and financial team. Practice includes a full-service infusion room and a typical out-patient oncology practice. Pharmacy is managed by hospital-based teams. Support from specialists to include: Rad Onc, Surgery, Pulm, GI, Urology, OB/GYN, Pathology, & Radiology (including IR and a mobile PET). There is also a strong primary care cohort. Call is consultative. Oncology patients are admitted by the hospitalist group.

The practice is based in Southwestern Virginia, a small family friendly town straddling the Virginia: Tennessee border with a quirky arts scene, great live music and phenomenal restaurants. The Birthplace of Country Music museum cements the pivotal role the community has with country music. Rhythm and Roots Reunion the annual festival is held down-town and brings together several genres of music. The area is also known for its natural beauty and access to outdoor activities. The area is close to the Tri-Cities airport (20 mins) which in one stop will get you to main European destinations and beyond. Charlotte is a 3 hr. drive (a hub for several airlines) and Knoxville is 1 hr. 40min. The area is a safe and family friendly community to grow your family, raise your kids or plan to retire.
